Air pollution is one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time. It is caused by the release of harmful substances into the atmosphere, primarily from the burning of fossil fuels for transportation, industrial processes, and energy production. The primary pollutants include carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), particulate matter (PM), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
